                                                                                 Obituary
                                                                               Ann Gorrod
It is with great sadness that we record the death of Ann Gorrod.  Ann joined the society in 1978 and was a loyal and active member, she was president twice, first in 1996/97 and again in 2005/07.
We send our condolences to Mike and the family.
                                                                                 Pam Bishton
                                                                                 December 2015
For many years Pam has been the mainstay in providing the music for our functions.  She has recently undergone an operation on her back and will be unable, in the forseeable future, to play for us.  The committee, on your behalf, want to thank her for many years of loyal service to the society.  We hope she makes a swift recovery from her surgery.  We look forward to seeing her again soon at one of our dances, if not playing for us, as a guest (paying of course this is after all a Scottish society)

                                                         Retirement of John MacAngus 2015

John was born in Balintore, Ross-Shire, Scotland.  He came to England in 1961.  Was married in 1967 and came to live in Kettering.  After seeing an article in the Kettering Evening Telegraph about the Kettering Caledonian Society, he decided he would like to join.  He became a member in 1981.  And was very soon elected onto the committee he became president in 1989/90.  And has been a long standing member of the committee for about 33 years.  But he now feels it is time to retire and let some of the younger members and new blood take his place on the committee.

I'm sure the committee and all members of the society would like to join with me in thanking John for all the hours he has put in over the years to help make the society into what it is today.
